Success – How to Succeed without Burnout
Jyotsna Ramachandran
Jyotsna is the founder of Happy Self Publishing. She has built her business around mentoring writers and authors, and coaching them so they can find great success in their work. Her journey towards freedom began when she decided never to be an employee ever again.
She tried out various businesses to support her decision- started a staff recruitment agency, became a franchisee of a chocolate brand, did freelance web designing. The arrival of her daughter Advika was the turning point in her life. She realized that none of her businesses were generating income if she was not actively working. She was actually self-employed, she was not a business owner. I had not built in the right systems to automate my businesses. I understood that in order to enjoy true freedom I needed to create passive income streams. The purpose of Happy Self Publishing is to share all the tools, habits, and strategies that have helped her start, run and scale her home-based business.
Nick Thacker
Nick is an action-adventure thriller novelist, who writes the types of books he likes to read. That means you won’t find anything boring, slow, or sappy in his stories. People have described his work as “airplane books,” but he just sees that as a compliment.
Nick was born in Connecticut, grew up in Texas, and lives in Colorado with his wife, two children, three dogs, and tortoise. He loves snow, drinking whiskey by the fireplace while it’s snowing, and writing books by candlelight while a thick layer of snow piles up outside.
Mark Asquith
In 2005 Mark decided that he no longer wanted to work the 9 to 5 for people with whom he had little in common. So he quit. Since then he’s developed from freelancer to multiple business owner, having worked with the UK’s Ministry of Defence, the NHS and some of the UK’s biggest corporations and financial institutions. He created his first business, HACKSAW™ and ran himself into a burn out shortly after. That experience opened his eyes and made him realise that with a few simple changes, concise guidance and transparent straight talking, the first years in business don’t have to lead to that. And so, he created Excellence Expected to help other people through those arduous first years in business. And he loves doing it.
